PowerShares/ DB Commodity ETFs.

Seven (7) new ETFs started trading yesterday on the Amex. PowerShares/DB issuing.

Total composite volume for the 7 was 345,800 shares.

DBA (Agriculture) 27,800 shares

DBB (Base metals) 184,600 shares

DBS (Silver) 3,000 shares

DGL (Gold) 900 shares

DBP (Precious Metals) 200 shares

DBO (Oil) 128,100 shares

DBE (energy) 1,200 shares.

All appear to have been seeded with $25 million and priced at $25. Given the base metals action yesterday the DBB volume is understandable, as is DBO (Oil). The volume in DBA (Agricultural) is impressive as this area has been overlooked in the ETF space due to the concentration of most indexes on Oil/Energy and the movement in Gold and Silver. The relatively low volume in the precious metals threesome is probably reflective of the fact that the space is already occupied with similiar and more established products.

Overall a successful launch.
